Part-Time, Second-Shift Children's Worker
Qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years of age, per DCFS requirements.
- Have a high school diploma or GED certificate.
- Have one year experience working with children, preferably birth - five.
- Demonstrate skill in dealing effectively with children and families.
- Capacity to work as a team with internal administration, staff, volunteers.
- Demonstrate the ability to function in stressful, complex situations.
- Basic working knowledge of computers.
Job Description:
Reports primarily to the Program Director
- Provide and participate in developmentally appropriate play.
- Actively participate in the implementation of the children's program through daily lesson plans (including music, reading, art, fine motor/cognitive, and gross motor development).
- Works under direct supervision of Lead Children's Worker.
- Participation in outside Crisis Nursery activities as appropriate.
- Attend monthly staff meetings.
- Maintain the minimal level of cleanliness at all times.
- Other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator.
